Great defence is a springboard to make the rest of the team play entertaining football. If you have 10 men behind the ball, you are unlikely to concede too much, defence was pretty good as we seemed to want to play Lopez or Mahon in front of them, which did not allow the rest of the team to flow.

if your strikers are not good enough (ours were totally out of their depth last season) it allows the opposition midfield to play higher up the pitch and with more freedom. that means that our midfield has to drop back to help the defense. that basically rules out attacking play.

Wrongly are rightly as far as Sousa getting himself fired is concerned - lets face facts.

The football was crap under him, he tinkered too much and played too defensively.

I can see Poyet getting the taff job but if PS gets it, all the very best to him and hopefully he's leant some lessons from his time at QPR

          Bang on Sam-QPR

Di Carmine was rarely bothering teams..he was so ineffectual and dont get me started on Helgusson

anyhow looks like a "done deal" Swansea may have made a very shrewd move
At the end of the day its not life or death, its just football.
