  • Failures and Successes OFF the pitch

    Managers aside...

Deffo failures are the loyalty points and "hoops rewards" - the latter being a waste of time completely. Obviously us trying to raise prices by a tenner for Derby fans after the season had started and getting a kick in from the football league and the press rates as the most embarrassing. Away kits were a frigging joke..the red one was just horrible and the black one would have been ok if they didnt wear those trucking horrible yellow shorts and socks! The player of the year do was a real let down and I wont bother next year.

Deffo successes would be the QPR in The Community - especially the Tiger Cubs for me, plus the family open day which all seemed to thoroughly enjoy. The club shop seems to be doing pretty well albeit they'd run out of stock of most things by Christmas - but the range of things they have is much better than it has been in years. Home kit looked top top notch and IMHO next seasons is even better! That and they've dumped the godawful aways and brought back Dennis. QPR should play in hoops home or away. QPR World seems to be getting better and better, especially highlighting the community work for us.

What are your highlights and lowlights off-the-pitch? (manager aside we've done that to death)

Failure - GP as Sporting Director - move him to chief schmoozer and let someone qualified do the job...

Failures - Obviously the high turnover of managers.Lack of stability is costing us.Price of the season tickets last season.Letting GP sign players.

Successes - Matt Connolly and Kasper Gorkks on the playing side. The community projects and Tiger Cubs off it.

success...the strong fanbase that gelled in the run up to the p/offs and kept momentum until promotion the next year
            we had some pride again
            new investment and sponsorships

failures...signing some .players not up to it over quite a few yrs
a new money led arrogance at the club, months back the same players were scared of not geting paid
losing the members bar in SArd
A "THEM AND US" ATTITUDE AT THE CLUB, this boutique stuff is nothing to be proud of.
