  • qpr chasing striker...

and we are letting dex go???? our top scorer for 2 seasons, is it 3?

he asks why he is on the bench when we can't score and is cast out quicker than a leper at an orgy!!!!!!!!!

agymang can't do it, he is not a 15 goal a season man, he ends up too wide and instead of scoring, tends to assist more..

adebola, just being linked with him is an insult.

if we have to sign someone we dislike, then CLINTON MORRISON...he was excellent v qpr this season at the r's....attitude, milked it, led the line and has some experience now...

cox, others in the hunt..he'll go for £2m
fryatt now on 5yr deal at foxes...
    ricky lambert...regular scorer at div1 level, £1m??
    lita??
    harewood??

Dont agree with you regarding Dele think he is a better player than most people give him credit for.

Been very impressed with him when he has played against us.

For a squad player not the nightmare people are making him out.

      We need depth and variety.

Birmingham had Phillips, Jerome, Bent, McSheffrey, O'Connor and McFadden.
Wolves had Iwelumo, Ebanks-Blake, Vokes, Keogh and Harewood
Reading had Lita, Long, Kitson, Doyle, Church and Hunt

Lots of strikers, lots of variety, lots of alternatives and combinations.

We need a mix of strikers some who can play on their own, as a link up man, in the hole, free scoring, fox in the box and creators for others. At the moment we have players who can create goals and play on their own or behind a central striker but we lack a fox in the box or some who create and scores goals for himself. Agyemang is closest thing we have to a target man but unlike a Heskey type he doesn't create enough to warrant a starting place.

The Wolves main four (not Harewood) scored 50 league goals between them and assisted with 13. Our 6 strikers (Blackstock, Agyemang, Balanta, Di Carmine, Vine and Helguson) scored just 22 and assisted with 3. Poor by any standards.

I agree, he is quite good actually imo
        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I think it's fair to say that we have some irons in the fire regarding centre forwards.

I doubt anything will be announced before the new gaffer is in place.

I think Adebola would be a good squad player but a 2 year deal is too much for someone of his age. Birmingham next season are either going to have to find a buyer for Phillips or be stuck with someone who doesn't have the legs for the Premiership. If we go up we could find ourselves in a similar position. Having said that, its a nice scenario to have to put up with.

His goals have helped them scoop a 60 million pound windfall.

If only we were a little bit more ambitious I honestly believe we have 75% of a squad that is capable of a play off place.

Just no manager and no forwards thats all

                Very good point funky!

I always think that as long as the strikers coming in are better than what we already have then no signing is a bad signing. Is Adebola better than Agyemang or SDC? Definitely. 10 goals and 7 assists for the season is much better than Pat & Samuel combined.
