                If he speaks English, then he could very well do a good job. He has the knack of winning promotion.

                As for wanting a British manager, I will ask why?

                Considering that many foriegn managers/coaches are used to not dealing with the buying and selling of players they would be better placed to deal with the interference that will surely be forthcoming from Briatore and Paladini. Which British manager is happy to work under those conditions?

                Dowie couldn't. Curbishley and Keegan both left their jobs because of interference, Keane wasn't happy to put up with this side of things at Sunderland and Darren Ferguson wouldn't be willing to either. I suspect that many other managers would feel the same.
