    It's all about the players not the formation. Portugal, Holland and even Spain score a lot of goals with just 1 up front. If you had a midfield with Gerrard, Ronaldo, Giggs, Lampard and Fabregas do you need two strikers to score you goals? If and when we have a full fit midfield with the likes of Buzsaky, Rowlands and Vine we will score goals.

      Formations are fluid with the best sides-and can change DURING the game.
      QPR of 1975/6 changed from 4-4-2,to 3-5-2,to 4-5-1 on many occasions,depending on who had possession and how the game was going.The only other 2 sides I know of that have ever been good enough to do that were Brazil 1970 and Holland 1974.
