  • Cost of these players...

How much do people think the following players would cost to buy:

    Gary Hooper
    Simon Cox
    Andy Gray
    Tommy Smith
    David McGoldrick
    Marcus Tudgay
    Erjon Bogdani
    Jermaine Beckford

Gary Hooper - £1m-£1.5m - S****horpe aren't going up, wouldn't want to sell but couldn't refuse that sort of money.

Simon Cox - £1m-£1.5m - Swindon aren't going up, wouldn't want to sell but couldn't refuse that sort of money.

Andy Gray £1m - Charlton need the money and he won't want League One football.

Tommy Smith £1.5m - Watford going nowhere so maybe tempted to move on to a club with ambition

David McGoldrick - £1m-£1.5m - Saints need the money and quickly.

Marcus Tudgay £1.5m - Watford going nowhere so maybe tempted to move on to a club with ambition

    Erjon Bogdani - £1m

Jermaine Beckford £3m-£4m - Leeds don't need to sell

Wouldnt mind David McGoldrick or Simon Cox
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

firstly tudgay doesnt play for watford ;)

players from teams going down like soton, charlton wont cost a mil..

gray would be alot cheaper as would mcgoldrick

Oops copied and pasted from Tommy Smith above.

You are right about Charlton and Saints.

Depends on contract status, I don't think we should spend over 1m on anyone

I think the original list at the top shows a number of players who wouldn't actually cost us much more than a £1m. Last summer Paterson cost Burnley £1.1m, Hunt cost Reading £600K and McCormack cost Cardiff £120K in compensation. Charlton and Saints can't demand high fees because they aren't in the financial position to do so so players like Gray and McGoldrick would be relatively "cheap".
