  • Salary Caps

Seems a good idea if a championship one could be agreed. Although I suspect it might be too high for us to achieve if it's based on most clubs having average attendances of 20-25k per home game.

It’s about time football started getting its finances in order , it’s got out of control . Salary should be relevant to the clubs income otherwise it’s unsustainable .It won’t be what sky and the premier league want to hear of course as it’s all about spending money on transfer fees and wages . Glad to be out of it after our Hughes and Redknapp days , even Warnock went crazy when given the chance and we are still paying for it today .

Yep agree Stainrod, it’s way too high & has been for a while, the wages prem players are on is ridiculous & no one is worth the amount they get paid, I hope the prem goes the same way, the championship wages have really gone up & will be a good thing if it happens

Can't see how anything like this is workable whilst there is the gulf in money between EFL and Prem and teams get parachute money - it would create an even bigger disparity than there is at the moment.

That would favour the Northern Clubs with wider catchment area and considerably lower costs. Living in the London area is much more expensive than ,say Sheffield or Nottingham so a higher wage has to be offered.
