  • Playoff chances?

    What do we reckon?

  • #2
We’re only 6 points off, I’d like to keep realistic and say there is no way and we are over achieving

However why be so negative, football is about ambition, it’s only 6 points and we have a great manager, why can’t we push?
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

If......if we got into the playoffs, we would win them imo.
      My reasoning?
Because we would be THE form team in the division, and the playoffs.

Six points off that become seven with our goal difference. Points aside, there are six teams above who need to drop points not just the one currently in sixth. We also have a team that is prone to errors at the back.

        Chances- Slim to no chance!

End the season well with playoffs being the aim next season. Use the good run of form to convince our gems to sign contract extensions and keep the squad together.

Will be interesting to see if we have the financial wiggle room to offer Eze and BOS contract expansions on better terms without putting in a low release fee. If we could get £3-5m for Manning perhaps that money could be put into the two contract extensions?

Sir Neil Warnock of SE Cornwall, reckons Cardiff are the team best equipped to sneak into the playoffs.

Do we WANT to win the play offs if we somehow got there ?

In terms of football, probably not but it would be a huge financial boost for the club.

No we are not consistent enough, we should beat Barnsley next week for instance but you know how it goes...

Totally agree with you,not impossible and no reason why we shouldn't have a go but very unlikely .
I'd be delighted if we finished in 12th place

I don't think we'll make the play offs but that's not what I've expected from this season. I'm very happy with how the team have progressed, the football has been exciting and we're getting good results!
