Interesting articles on the Grimsby Forum.
They seem to worship him (at the moment)

Perhaps you should rephrase the heading & put in his proper name & show respect, obviously you have none.

QPR Legend in my opinion for reasons I have mentioned far too many times. Its a shame he isn't shown sufficient respect.

Agree. Horribly inappropriate thread title whatever one thinks of his management skills.

Yes. Mr Holloway or Ollie are only acceptable ways of referring to this Rs legend who never ever gave less than 100% as a player or manager.

Lacked tactics , great enthusiasm ... His team talk at Hillsboro was fantastic he gets fans off the street brings them into the changing room and let's them tell the team what promotion would mean to the fans ...the team went out won , got promoted , brilliant

Holloway is the first manager I ever saw at QPR

The season QPR won promotion from league 1, legend, real legend
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Holloway stopped the rot when he returned three years ago. Without Holloway we would be League One now.

                      Player and manager twice.

He never had the opportunity to be a cheque book manager and worked with solid professionals, youngsters and unmotivated highly paid mercenaries.

If I ever get the chance to meet him I will shake his hand, give him a man hug and say thank you.

It was because of him we nearly ended up in League one. Warbs has a smaller budget than Ollie had and the difference between the 2 is night and day. Ollie is a poor manager who is more interested at trying to be a comedian than being a manager.
Guy has a good heart, loving family, qpr through and through, a legend of a player but when it comes to being a manager, the guy is a clown

Harsh but can't disagree on his second term. Was an appalling appointment that almost ended in disaster. No idea what club did part way through his second season to get him to change formation and selections but without that could have been in trouble. That together with almost taking us down the previous season from a position of safety.

However could never doubt his commitment and his first spell as manager remains one of my favourites. Very committed footballer who helped facilitate Ray Wilkins' golden years with us.

Ignoring his second spell with us very up and down at this level over the years but had some good moments including promotions so can look back with some pride on his achievements. Nearly all managers reach the stage where they either need to give up or go down the leagues. That is just where he was with us second time around. Hopefully he can enjoy things at Grimsby and even squeeze in a promotion at some stage in the future.
