I heard he's going WBA. As good as he was for us I wouldn't want him back. We've got to look for other options and move forward.

Not the player he was and quite injury prone too. Would demand high wages too no doubt. We need to move on.

Bit hard to judge on last season seeing as Southampton never played him for a full 90 minutes once !

Wherever he goes in the Championship he will score a sh*tload. You can be sure of that.

              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

                From Sky Sports

Charlie Austin has passed his medical medical and agrees a deal to join West Brom from Southampton, according to Sky sources.

The fee is believed to be around £4m; a two-year deal with an optional additional year.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

It’s honestly going to be gutting to see Charlie in this league fkr
another club but I do wish him well

If fit he will be best striker in this league, however I'm not convinced he will stay fit for more than 50% of a season. Im happy with Hudgill and Mlakar would like one more but I honestly feel the club and Warburton have had an excellent window. Sign Messi and ill give it 10/10 ! forgot Derby in for him

We couldn't compete in a £4 million transfer, neither the fee or the wages

Because for a lot of it he wasn't fit and obviously when he was he didn't impress in training. It doesn't bode well. For a club with West Broms means they can afford to take a chance with £4m as could end up a complete bargain if he does stay fit, we couldn't pay that if we wanted to.
