Surely only one year left on his contract and a player who hasn't commanded a regular slot a RB or CB. Jack of all trades and master of none. If we get his replacement on a free that £1.5m will pay his wages for three years.

A good deal in my opinion.

      Fully agree with this
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

I think 1.5 million is high for a player who at best is bang average and prone to mistake, good business by the club

Furlong has 2 years on his contract with an option of a further year. I don't rate Furlong but I know this is cheap. Les OUT

And people think that our DOF is doing a good job.

They should be asking for a minimum of £6m given how much is paid for players these days.

Try and get decent fees for the players, to avoid needing to sell so many of them.

I am really getting F...ed off with the club.
            6 million !!! for Furlong, that’s funny

Ok, that's cheap then but Furlong hasnt really become a specialist RB or CB. He said recently he sees himself as a RB but I think that's his weakest position of the two.

Whether it's a good deal will depend upon who comes on to specialise at RB.

Look at how much Luton Bristol City and Brentford ask and receive for their players. Obviously West Brom think Furlong is a good defender so why should QPR only get £1.5M?

Les is selling the club short again.

I doubt we'll get more that £1.5m for Loungo either.

We need cash and there doesn't seem to multiple clubs after our players to push the price up. I'm sure if the was another club bidding for Furlong the price would be much more, but obviously there ain't.

I must say I'm starting to wobble slightly by these events...

My hope an dfaith as slipping a wee bit.

I cannot understand this sale, of one of our young hopefuls with lots of game under his belt. Very worrying indeed.

You say that, but I don't think there were many clubs chasing those signings made from other clubs.

QPR will get less than half that figure for Luongo. They got a pittance from Millwall for Smith too.

Yes, QPR need cash, but they will need the cash next season too, because of the low fees they are accepting this season.

Maybe we get low fees for our players as not many clubs want than, most of them last season bar Freeman were at times hopeless, BFG was ok and other players blew hot and cold, cannot get upset by the club selling any of them, at times last year 5 million for the whole squad would have looked a good deal.

I'm surprised WBA want him and I'm surprised we're getting 1.5mil, thought we'd get much less! He's not had a major impact for us.

Does make me laugh reading all the comments that he's not that good enough for QPR

However, WBA seem to think he's good enough for them

Transfer rates are inflated right now and everyone else is cashing in and setting valuations that don't make sense. We seem to be the only club who want to play nice and value our players sensibly even though we are watching our rivals in the same league command figures for a similar quality of player for 3 or 4 x times the amount we are asking for,

Furlong, done extremely well for us last year in a pretty poor team. He's young, one of own with over 100 appearances and the comments made are laughable just like the price we are selling at. This is the type of player who should be signed up on 3 year contract, playing week in week out for us and only sold if we feel a 5 mill plus valuation is met in the current crazy market.

I live in the Black Country, and it's in the local Express & Star... they are a 'safe' newspaper, which means it's happening...
