Best football we’ve played for years was under Luigi Di Canio and I’m not sure any of us had heard of him before he took over. Tim Sherwood got lucky at Spurs and then spent over 100 mill at villa and they ended up a pub team.

Other teams take "unknowns" from p*ss poor European leagues and do well. Could be the best move we make.

Agree. It's the most sensible one. Might struggle a bit at first, however, as soon as he put things in order, we will reap the benefits. Go along Les.

Totally agree.. There are plenty of excellent managers / coaches outside of this country and most have not been heard of by the masses over here. Plenty of clubs have had their best successes in recent years having followed that template rather than just getting the next failed British manager available off the manager Merry-go-round that somehow continually fail yet continue to get given jobs. It's ridiculous. In any other career if a person repeatedly showed their incompetence in a specific field and role, they would not get offered the exact same role at a competitor company.

Add to that, the fact even a well respected and relatively successful manager in another country would be content with a wage that was fair, unlike the numerous idiots over here who have become beyond complacent and greedy in the wealthy English game and would expect huge wages whether they've any credentials or not. Someone like Sherwood being a prime example. Very full of himself and would be demanding unjustified money on the back of nothing other than doing ok in a short stint at a top club with top players.... well most people would've done fine in that role especially as he couldn't lose because had it all gone really bad he'd point the blame at the predecessor, yet if it went relatively well as it did, it's obviously all down to him.... as soon as he actually had to do something elsewhere and try to walk the walk, he failed miserably wasting a tonne of money in the process and getting the sack.

Totally agree with this way to go tbh, as long as our youngsters get a look in aswell, i know these two teams are in the prem and abit of money spent on players, but loved the way wolves and watford have been playing, both with foreign managers, but exciting attacking play, certainly would rather go this route foreign manager wise than on the list of dull english managers
