No more level playing fields, no more dreams and aspirations, if you are a small club you have absolutely no chance of competing with the big boys. You used to get Watford, Norwich, Villa, Blackburn even us challenging at the top of the league... that will never happen again and I find it very sad the money men have stolen the dreams of the smaller teams.
The global support and the success enjoyed by those big teams means that they can sustain cheque book football and the owners leaving will not cause the club to face financial ruin or potential winding up.
However, clubs like us have no fan base big enough to act as a safety net and we are not successful. What our owners did was reckless and could have killed us. That is why FFP is necessary.
Did alarm bells not start to ring when little QPR started to do deals with AC Milan and Real Madrid? Not even when we signed Brazilian internationals? You must, surely, have looked around Loftus Road at least once during those halcyon days and think to yourself 'this is ridiculous'?
FFP isn't perfect and the idea of giving a club a massive fine for overspending does seem to be counter productive but we did sign up to those rules and we knew what would happen and yet, our arrogant and reckless owners still decided to go ahead and do it. These people aren't victims but idiots who could have killed our club.
Should it be points deductions and relegation rather than fines? Absolutely. However, there is no doubt that small clubs like us need to be protected from reckless and idiotic owners. We have a 136 year history we need to preserve.
Finally, the sad reality is that if you want to support a successful side then you will have to find another and regardless of FFP that has always been the case.

Just a thought. Would it be an idea to punish the owners directly for their fe€kless behaviour ?
As in, to own a major holding in a club you agree that if it’s run inappropriately you as the owner pay the fines ?
Surely that would encourage owners to run a viable business and in the event they still ####ed up, fans wouldn’t see their club suffer too much.
There’s probably a good reason why this approach wouldnt work, seems far too simplistic to me.“He'll regret it till his dying day, if ever he lives that long”

Well with Derby, Villa and Wednesday being looked at this week makes it even more one sided for teams with parachute payments. They should only be allowed to spend this money on existing contracts or something. Otherwise it will turn the league into teams of yoyo sides with the same ones going up or down and the rest stuck in No Man's Land.

Watford & Wolves doing well. Also, Bournemouth who are probably th smallest club I've ever known in the prem are doing fine.
Prem or Division One was generally owned by the big clubs. Every so often a small club wins it, such as Forest or Blackburn but always been a once in s generation phenomenon.
Dont think much changes. The playing field has always been uneven.

I don't see how Leicester can be used in any context to back up an argument that FFP works, it was just well, a freak season the top 6 were all weak at the same time. I guess that happens once every 25 years? Since Blackburn? (When Man U and Arsenal were both in transitional squad periods) Yes Watford, Wolves, Bournemouth are doing ok, but none of them will break into the top 6 certainly not this season.
The season Leicester won it was a freak season I agree but Spurs had a great chance to win it given how weak the other top teams were. And Leicester actually ended up winning it by about ten points I think.
