When we went down to ten men but according to SM it was nine, we did not have a clue what to do but just boot it anywhere which was our undoing, there were times we could have played it out and probably run it to the corner to use up some time, but no just boot it, when they scored just before that we had a easy pass out to someone that was in space but no just boot it.
Surely there should have been some of the more experienced players could have calmed things down rather than panicking, t.hey must talk about it in training if that scenario happens, I have never seen a team panic like that when down to ten men, most teams have a plan to deal with it, obviously we don't, we should have come away with a point at least.

Agree there were a few times we could have played the ball out and run but to be fair, first thought to boot it into row z should have been enough to both waste time and re-group when under pressure.

Has worked in the past and will surely work again. Issue for us last night was 10 knackered men against 11 confident Premier League players

Agree & it was alarming why we sat so deep and just let the widemen go all the way to the bylines to whip a cross in, with both furs and bidwell sitting off giving way too much space, then making it easy to getthe balls in the box,

really couldnt understand that unless it was through being too knackered! close them down more and those balls wouldnt of kept going in, also mac needs to be using other options as ezes offering nothing at all.

          Good post.
QPR had a goal kick prior to their goal and Lumley kicked it out towards the wing and out of play .

Think they're all pretty knackered both physically and mentally after the last few weeks

The leadership qualities of Rangel and Cameron are missed more than we realised

This is another tactics which has been getting so predictable booting it out to bidders pav or furs

Tough isn't it as if you go to close them down you MUST win the ball otherwise you are pulling players out of the box.

For me, Furlong and Bidwell have never been good at taking on oncoming players....both let them get into the box too easily.

Admittedly both are good in the air, but to keep looking for that flick ons just soo obvious, needs to change things up, ideally you need eze to get hold ofit and get involved more but hes just a passenger and has been for awhile now.

That was Hemed who should have laid it off to BOS just before they scored. Expensive mistake.

There was one just before the goal where Leinster hit it long from the edge of our box. Had he laid it forward into the path of BOS, whilst halfway in our half he only had one man to beat with the whole pitch to run into, as they'd pushed everyone forward.
No doubt he would have knocked it into the space and roasted the defender before he'd got out of our half. Not blaming Leinster, as I'm sure their heads were all over the shop at that point, but it could have been so different..BOS threw his arms in the air as he knew what we'd missed out on.

Can only remember one instance of BOS being clear to carry it out but the pass to him was shocking....think it was the Hemed one.

This in bold has been one of our main downfalls this year. Not just Furs and Bids but everyone. We are just giving the opposition far too much space to play around us. We need to get much tighter to the opposition to stop them playing. We break very well and look a threat with lots of pace but just don't quite get close enough to stop any threats and it's as if everyone plays through us at times

Yep i totally agree jeff, think thats half the problem though with pressing and being able to do it and keep it up all 90 odd minutes, i prefer a more pressing game and closing down and getting on the front foot type tactics dare i say how ollie likes his teams to play, its another tactic of macs im not mad on sitting back to type of hit on the counter attack but also times of saving energy, but just feel that as the home team we need to be further up the pitch and getting in teams faces and right at it, but id prefer us to play like that away from home aswell.
