  • Lumley.

Gone backwards since new year Becoming a real liability.

Confidence low at the moment, makes him look abit bombscareish, hopefully he gets through it as like him and he seems to care, his reaction when we went 1up at Stoke was immense.
I'm prepared to give him time, some may not

Patience is wearing thin with Lumley.

      Good general positional sense.
      Sh!t with crosses.
      Sh!t shot stopper.

Hope he comes good as he's certainly likable but a very poor Keeper for us the moment.

He’s simply not as good as many fans thought he was. We’ve got ourselves a young, average keeper. Nothing more nothing less

He is good enough, but has to play behind an often shocking defence which switches off regularly and provides opposition attack with so many chances that would not otherwise happen. At least 50% of the time, he saves the resulting shot at goal. Often his good work goes unnoticed. Frankly, I'd keep him and work with him as No 1 goalkeeper and spend whatever funds we have in strengthening the defence.

Not exactly getting much protection from his defence though is he. If they stop the ball going into the box then he doesn't have any saves to make

Hang on a minute. Did you not see the absolutely fantastic point blank saves he made TWICE last night that looked certain goals?

Not having that lads. He’s been brilliant for us and he’s the last one we should be digging out. The defence in front of him has a lot to answer for.

Completely Agree! he made at least 2 great saves last night. the guy is still young and has a been left exposed by a dodgy defence on occasion after occasion.

No, I don't think they did.

As said already, he gets little protection from his defence especially from Lynch.

Imo, it`s not about any single player, It`s more how the team lacks cohesion at the moment. Lumley is a talented keeper, but we could do with a better number 2. From time to time, he needs a game off. The defence in front of him is tired and many of them looks dessolutioned..
