    It was not an open goal. Furlong smashed it across the goal mouth and BFG bust a gut to get a foot on it at full stretch. If he had his time again he might have gone with his other foot but that said it was maybe a 60/40 chance. An open goal is 90% certain.

    As for coating off fellow fans with offensive neanderthal vernacular, jog on mate.

                I’m staggered that some fans think he made the wrong decision taking it on his right foot. He didn’t have time to set himself up for the shot. It was a volley across the goal mouth from Furlong and Leistner basically had to take the shot with whatever foot he wasn’t standing on.
                Anyone who thinks any player would have had time to adjust, particularly a lump of a central defender like him, needs to play a bit more football over the park and spend a bit less time behind a screen.
