Unfortunately Furlong is still looking to defend by out muscling people and in todays game the moment any kind of tangle or touch in the box and you are in danger of giving a foul away. Lasts nights decision was very soft but gerting tangled with a guy who was chucking himself all over the place was a recipe for disaster. Never a pen but he needs to learn that there are other ways to defend which are smarter.

    I like Furlong.
OPs like this and the Wells one are just attention seeking imo.

Stfu up. Made an unreal save to keep it at 1-0. And made a great save at the end . Can’t blame him for either goal. JN

If we had sent back Brighton would have held us to the deal so could not have replaced him

Furlong got his body between the ball and the forward who then lunged in. Never a penalty.

Not to mention his throw-ins are a lethal weapon on offense. All hustled out there today v Bristol City (save for Hemed, who I believe has already mentally moved on from us). Keep the faith. And keep Furlong.

Lumley's luck has run out. He is very average.

Pulled off a number of fine saves before City eventually found a way past him, the pick of the bunch being to push away Famara Diedhiou’s header. Also produced a late save to deny Matty Taylor.

    Darnell Furlong: 7

Ridiculously adjudged to have fouled Diedhiou for the penalty, Furlong played very well. He saved the day with a couple of brilliant clearances, including a terrific saving header to deal with a cross by Josh Brownhill.
Lumley flapped at 4 and missed them all. Total liability when he comes off his line. And don't mention his kicking.

How anyone can blame Furlong for the penalty is a c ock. He turns to get the ball and their player goes through the back of his legs and the ref gives the pen. Should've been a free kick to us.

This is why we were right to send the kids out on loan when some said they should stay and play. Whilst the fan base are impatient and have unrealistic expectations they we get eaten up and spat out

Full time whistle has barely been blown and already people getting on his back. One of our own and his dad is a Rangers legend (close), deserves a bit more than that
