Maybe, to keep Labour H&F sweet, we could sponsor some black, lesbian, disabled, women's puppet workshops?

Never known a dispute like it. Have QPR actually said that they expect the land for free?

I'd hate for us to move out of the borough but the reality is the majority of the fans don't live in the area and we're not the most popular or well supported team in the area either. Can't justify 25,000+ stadium in my view and shouldn't be leveraging community work to gain access to prime real-estate. If we're committed to the community and local area stump up the cash and build at the Scrubs. We won't increase revenue by building a bigger stadium, that business model is completely wrong . We're a sports club first and foremost and we make the majority of our money from TV, sponsorship and trading players. Sadly the number of fans turning up on the day makes little difference. Only a handful of clubs actually make a significant amount of money from merchandise and stadium/match day related activities. We may be running at a loss on match days but the solution is to make up the money else where.

            It's a tough one ain't it mate?

Wouldn't want to move away from our spiritual home. But at the same time, is it any different to when a couple decides they need a bit more space? Need to move out of the expensive London real estate and out into the surrounding counties to afford what you need.

There's a lot of money to be made from prime real estate in the boroughs of Acton and H F , can anybody imagine the vast profit that can be made by developing L R as a walled private estate even taking into account buying and developing LC site ,
imo that's the reason HF council are playing hard ball with the owners

Why has Tony hung around? One reason, to make back the money he p*ssed up the wall a few years ago. Most owners would've legged it and called it quits, but he hung around as there's a chance he could make a huge profit selling Loftus Rd to developers. Perfect result for him would be selling the ground and us ground sharing! Loftus Road as it is won't be there in 5 years, no way, no one is making any money from it! We're never gonna fill a 30,000 stadium anyway, our stadium is ok for the size of our club, so lets chase Tony out of town and take back control otherwise the way this is going we could lose it forever.

Why isn’t it possible to expand-redevelop Loftus Road? Why not expand it by digging and do a Camp Nou, where a big part of the stadium is under ground level?

You still need to go wider and longer even if you go deeper. Not possible.

Not without acquiring a few streets either side, which is a total non-starter!

Going down you are losing space. The room for the pitch would be even smaller than it is now, which I am pretty sure doesn't have any room for movement as it is.

as much as i hope that we do remain in shepherds bush it won't be the end of the world. as others have said, we could move into hillingdon, uxbridge, ealing or even feltham if we had too. wouldn't be ideal but so long as we at least remain close to shepherds bush and west london corridor then it'll be okay.
