El Tel side had pace and a lot of quality Clive Allen, Roeder but still had donkey work player in Hazell and Flanagan. I would say the Venables side was better, but Warnocks achievement was greater. but neither side were as good as class of 76 they were quality on the crappiest of pitches. personally as an Rs fan I don't give toss as long as we try and play with pride.

Sort of agree but 66/67 we were a class above when the rest weren't much good, I remember lots of easy wins and it not being very competitive. We'll not see the likes of 75/76 again - our 'Leicester' moment. Fantastic team, Jago/Sexton great managers. Then Tel's team over Warnock as there was a lot of skill and innovation on display. Warnock's achievement was remarkable and our success owed so much to him being able to get a tune out of one of the biggest wasters of talent you will ever see.

Venables side was better, and was the platform for 13 years in the top division.

Also the 72/73 side that finished second to Burnley deserves a mention, Stanley was simply brillant that season.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Two top comments, but 75/76 has to take the honour.
