Good post Dogs. It's not easy for Eze when you've got Scowen and Cousins behind you. Cousins passing skill is zero. Scowen only slightly better.

Said it on the match thread, if there is genuinely 10m quid on the table we need to sell him. We could use that to bring in 3 or 4 Championship level players. These last few games have proved that our squad isn't anywhere near strong enough.

Also, like Westy said, too many games recently we've had to carry him. A luxury we definitely can't afford when the other players in the middle are Scowen and Cousins.

He's 20 he's played every game this season but hey what does McLaren know about football ,! look at others that were on the pitch with plenty of games under their belts they were the ones letting him down their team mates the manager and down as well as us that sat through that abismal lack of effort

Can't speak for anyone else mate, but I'm not singling him out in particular for blame today. All 11 out there were garbage. All I'm saying is if someone wants to give us 10m quid for Eze we should take it. We need squad players far more than we need a luxury player who only shows up 50% of the time.

Take the 10 million with a 20 to 30% aell on fee as he is not ready for clubs being mentionef as the gap is huge between our level and top flight football. Cairney and to a lesser degree Sessignon are examples of good Championship players not being able to repeat it in the premier league

Not trying to disagree but that way we'll end up with donkeys , this season we've punched well above our weight we are missing important parts of our team with no true cover our main aim still has to be here next season then we have a transfers window instead of looking to a flog 20 year old that has the ability to put bums on seats ,and draw a good fee further down the road , the ones we should looking to get shot of are liabilities like Ausie Joe and others to bring in players that can support the likes of Eze Smythe Bos and the other young players we have that are knocking on the door

He'll go and score another match-winning worldy next game and his valuation will shoot up again on here. That's the nature of the volatile beast regarding the transfer-market.

He isnt good enough for the premiership. His lack of engine aside, theres mothing there unless its dropped on his foot. A posh mans Ben Gladwin.

He's very frustrating to watch at times he obviously has loads of talent, it remains to be seen whether he can use it consistently, he has lots to learn in the game and has been given ample playing time to do so, it might be wise for SM to look at other options in that position on occasion!

I agree mate, time to sit him out for a few games.

The jury is still out on Smyth, but when he gets a sniff of first team action he looks like he'd run through a brick wall for the team. This was the case in the few minutes he got yesterday. What message does it send out when you repeatedly leave out a lad with an attitude like that out in favour of someone that doesn't run, doesn't track back, and some weeks doesn't show up at all?

Portsmouth in the cup is the perfect opportunity to play a few fringe players again. Give them a chance to stake a claim for a starting spot, and hopefully put a rocket up Eze and some of the others that ain't been delivering!

I can’t work out if Eze is quick or slow. Don’t think I’ve ever seen him open up and just sprint with or without the ball
