    I read somewhere that can play further up the pitch also so versatile and perhaps cover for defensive midfield?...but agree probably just rubbish journo rumour.

    What I thought as well, couldnt quite get it around my head.

    I don't think we're lacking in any department, just injuries have hit us and players have stepped up for me. Unless a player of real quality comes up I doubt the club will make a move given circumstances.

    i'm assuming that the club sees furlong's long term future as a cb which i agree with, he looks very assured at cb! in which case this kind of signing makes sense, rangel is 36 and the jury is still out on kakay
