Seem some crazy comments on Facebook saying we should give him an ultimatum. Ask him to stay and play for us or go to the Asian cup. And if he chose to go we should f uck him off out of the club. I mean come on. Yes we need him but every player wants to play for their country. Who are we to deny him that right. Hope he has a blinder, wins it and comes back at the top of his game. We have two options for replacing Mass, and both should be exercised. Ryan Manning is a no-brainer, having rediscovered his touch and drive. Believe if he moved into the first team he would immediately gel with Nahki and Eze. Play as well as he has at Rotherham & Mass may be hard-pressed to regain his spot a month from now. The other obvious choice IMO is Ilias Chair. He is a budding playmaker who can spark offense while remaining pesky on defense. The sad thing for Mass would be he goes off and plays little (a la the World Cup) then returns to find a seven game absence has relegated him to bench duty here as well. It's in Mass' interest to play for his national team; it's in our interest to see who else we've got with such promising but heretofore under-utilized talent.
