I'm convinced a female player at likes of Chelsea or Man City will soon be bringing an equal pay claim to seek wage parity with the male team.... £300K per week. I think its inevitable so I would not want to form a QPR lady's team, in fact I'd actively discourage it.

Yes. It would be at Loftus Road so you avoid renting Uxbridge FC's ground and all the costs associated with that.

Also, if 100 people decide to buy a cup of tea, for example, whilst watching the women's team then they would have earned more from that than they do for gate receipts at present.

But the cost of keeping stewards on and police would probably put the club off doing it. And where would they get changed and get ready for the game like the first team do

So now we got a woman running the Prem and a woman as Sports Minister no one will be brave enough to close down loss making womens teams.

cant understand the cost argument. people moan about how out of touch football is getting these days and now because ladies arnt allegedly as good or entertaining as men at football we may look at cutting them and saving the dosh. Well 99% of kids in our academy wont make it but we persist with that. End of the day more families watch football these days so why alienate a % of our potential fanbase by cutting a womens team.Girls like football too and go games. if we cut them might as well go all in and stop schools visits, soccer schools etc.

like it or not the womens game is in its infancy like golf a few years back,so do we want to be in it from the beginning or just ignore it.I think we should back it as in a few years it will be huge just like golf is now.

There would be zero requirement for Police as you'd still be lucky to get 500 stay behind. Such an amount would also require few stewards. Regardless, he cost of paying a few staff an extra couple of hours salary is still a saving on the cost of hiring Uxbridge's ground.

As for changing, there are plenty of rooms available.

It is growing at a phenomenal rate as a participating sport but as a spectator sport, in this country, it has peaked with attendances and television figures heading south. The problem is that the standard is so poor and people know it will never be as good as the men's game.

If you genuinely believe that it will become huge you're in shock.

Except that there are zero female QPR fans who would rather watch the women's team than the men's.

The women's team has an average crowd of around 55 and if you take away those among the crowd who are immediate family or close friends the average would be about 10.

There is not a shred of evidence that scrapping the women's team would have an adverse effect on our female support.

Well, women's sport in general is on the up. We need a women's team as when it gets mainstream hopefully we'll be there to reap the benefits.

Womens sport is not on the up. It is ,again, a small majority of P.C. brigade making a lot of noise on social media but not putting their hands in their pockets.
Most of the time school kids are given free tickets to boost the attendance figures.
