Can’t even make the bench at Cardiff. What a waste!

Murphy is on the bench (did he used to play for us?)

Smithies played in their League cup defeat to Norwich, conceding 3 I think

Did seem a strange move going to a club with a well liked number 1. Perhaps a better move would've been to one of the teams that had dropped down from the prem or a championship team expected to challenge for promotion (then again that was the situation when he joined us so maybe he took the gamble of joining a prem team in the hope he'd become first choice).

Possibly injured. Haven’t looked into it thoroughly - must confess!

Are we allowed to loan him in January or are loans not permitted??
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

The cynic in me always believed it was a shrewd move by NW.
His way of sticking two fingers up to TF and LF believing we would struggle without Smithies.

Good servant Smithies and genuinely like him and wish him the best. Was the difference two seasons ago between going down or staying up.
