  • This quote gives me hope

With an over-sized and over-budget squad now dismantled, the FFP saga resolved and a fresh face at the helm, this stands as the perfect moment for everyone associated with the club to move forward into the next chapter.

But the ffp is not and will not allow us to compete ever. It's too draconian, and leaves smaller clubs
    at a disadvantage.
The lge may as well make the championship a closed shop for teams with small capacity/fan base

Dave millwall compete, Brentford compete, Huddersfield got promoted and stayed there. Burnley, Watford the list goes on. I appreciate its more difficult for us to compete but we absolutely shouldn’t just wave the white flag and admit defeat. Trends are there so be broken

        Exactly.

You get hammered by FFP if you take insane risks. The rules were in place, rightly or wrongly, and we chose to drive a coach and horses straight through them. Madness. Other clubs will fall foul, no one has learned anything at all becuase they are blinded by EPL money. If you can get there without busting the bank, you can then spend some dosh.

Poor squads on paper have done well ath level simply by being properly organised and giving 100%

Can't see the point in clubs like us going for the prem . Few years time the big 5 /6 will s o d off to a euro league. Then the big boys left like we'd forrest etc will make up the new Orem with sit in Leeds etc. Rest of us are shafted

But the FFP rules no longer apply instead the S&P ones do. and these allow a loss of £39M over 3 seasons, so in fact a team can overspend and lose £50M in a gamble to win promotion and should they fail to do so, try and recoup their losses by selling players. a bit like Middlesboro have done or as some others have successfully done, ie. Fulham.
