Something occurred to me the other day, how
similar our squad is to the Charlton one of 15/16 where they had a mostly a young squad of players with high potential.
Some of the similarities are striking. For Nick Pope = Lumley, Lookman/Harriot = Eze/Smyth, Guomudsson = Freeman, Cousins = Manning, Bauer (their 1st signing of summer) = Leistner.
I am not saying we are going to go down like they did, I am hoping McClaren is the difference to develop the players potential slightly quicker than Charlton did. Couldn't bear to lose all the young players on the cheap like they did.
