  • Revenue Loftus Road, how to increase income

From the Standard article, Ferdinand speaking:

”We are still trying to get back in the Premier League if we can, but we have to do it in a different way, because of the rules and regulations. Loftus Road doesn’t generate revenue. For example, if you have a box at a stadium, a lot of clubs make that available for businesses to hold meetings during the week. We can’t do that because there is no parking out the front. People don’t take advantage of the facilities. Our ground basically only gets used on matchdays. We are missing out on a lot of money from that alone.”

Why not make a deal with existing parking alternatives nearby and have our own ”shuttle service” for companies from their parking location to HQ? Then ”sell” that package/oppurtunity for meetings at HQ to companies - voilà more income.

Think we missed s trick during WC. Shoujd have had games on big screen or blue and white bar with the beers flowing in the stands.

How is it working for Villa? Their new investors are apparently looking to inject cash into the football club. How does that work with regards to them and ffp as they were on the brink until these new guys got involved.

How can problems with parking be a big problem regarding attracting companies to have meetings and so on at HQ?

Didn"t Flavio negotiate the largest sponsorship deal outside the premier league with Gulf Air when they took over? Surely the current board have enough clout to do something similar?

That’s what I don’t fully understand. Doesn’t matter how wealthy owners are they cannot just inject cash. Think their new owners have provided cash flow, they have had 6 loanees leave and freed up the racists weekly wedge along with probably banking on £30m for Grealish. Still personally believe they are right in the brown stuff if they don’t go up this year

West. It was at the time the most lucrative deal outside the premier league at that point. Never compared it to premier league sponsorship. Not BS as was lucrative and a major brand as well.

West. My point is can we not explore a similar route with the current board as they are also well connected people.

Because a lot of the high end punters who we’d be aiming it at prefer to get from A to B in their motors, generally a Range Rover or similar. They don’t do shuttle buses unfortunately.

In summer months, how about a open air strip club and casino in 2 sections? Liquor in the front, poker in the back.

I organise and run events for my organisation and I would say that parking in London is not an issue. People will use public transport. Proximity to a mainline station is a bonus, but simply put, Loftus Road is not a destination, but I would guess they're trying to pick up business from the surrounding home counties? London is full of excellent business and conference faciilities and football teams that offer them! We need to think of something else!

Parking is not the issue at Loftus Rd, everyday cars are parked on the pavement outside SAR and in the entrances to the Loft and Ellerslie Rd stands, upwards of 20 vehicles and there room for many more.
