Is our rep for providing a pathway to the 1st team helping us as Les hoped?

We can spend as much as we want on youth players and our academy - it wont have any negative consequences for our FFP situation. Maybe FFP is a blessing in disguise, leading to the youth revolution we started to see the impact of during the tail end of last season. I feel very good about the two last additions, Wells and Felix, without really knowing the players, and about the fact QPR seems to be the place young players such as Wells want to go.

They'll be infamously known as the The Bushy Babes.

I agree. Over the last few years players hardly come through at premiership clubs anymore so they are now wising up to it and looking to where they can break through.. Last two seasons we've proved that the pathway is there if you're good enough and young players are seeing that. Long may it continue.

What's not to like they are coming for the sake of their career over their pay packet , good for both parties even if it doesn't work out for some

Anyone remember the comment about QPR are attracting a better quality of young players

I guess this is what they meant. West Ham captain, impressive
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

looks like a very solid deal. west ham are always pumping out young players so this is great news for us.
give it a few years and i reckon we'll be talked about as academy specialists, we've really upped our game over the past few seasons and are attracting higher quality youngsters all the time.

Fantastic and especially because we've poached him from one of the perceived best academies in English football.

Dont tell me Les is losing his hate figure status...!?

Been saying it for ages - look at our investment in youth year on year since Les turned up....superb.

I hope Cris Ramsey will stay with us for a long time and not be tempted to leave.

i agree. hes gotten better and better every year as dof and has got the right people in under the right philosophy. the main thing that bugs me is one day a bigger more richer club will come in and pluck him from us after we've been his school basically
