Villa were very silly in paying Terry ridiculous money last season. Gambled and it didn’t pay off, whilst Terry walks away minted up.

Poor old Villa, still no-one forced them to spend £15m on Kodja, £8m on Chester, £12m on McCormack and £5m on some no-mark from Reading 2 seasons ago did they ?

Yep, thing are going tats up at villa.

Losing 6mil per month, they have until next Wednesday to find a buyer or they will be put into administration.

Could start next season with minus 12 points and a transfer embargo.

FFP really seems to be working (selectively).
They can afford to spend big and FFP wont come into it, as they will be getting big fees for anumber of players they will be selling soon, including Butland and Shaqiri.

i suppose unless the rules change Southampton will be doing same as Stoke season after next. Unless they sack Hughes before Xmas.

Don't forget the likes of Samba and Richards on the wage bill.

Surely Villa have done worse than us. I dont remember us spending anywhere near that sort of money on transfers. Yes the Samba deal which we got back but most were around the 5 to 7 mark I'm sure. And that was while we were in the premiership. I recall a lot of our championship buys under Harry being free transfers and loans.

Villa are in the clear with hmcr, they agreed a deal, and soon the FL will step in and say,
"this is a great old club, so we will waive any punishments,....now where are farkin QPR, with our money?"

And that point there Jeff is the salient point, we never spent like wolves derby villa in this division
yet we are the ones they're trying to shaft.
