I don't. Supposedly we got more for Josh Bowler, but I reckon while we might ask for more, we'd take that for any member of our squad at present. I bloody hope I'm wrong...but I doubt it.

Nah I agree. I don't think that's far wrong either for our better players. Farking stupid when you consider wasters like Ross McCormack go for like 10-15mil.

So far we have only got £1.5m for Bowler the rest is on add ons. Eze I am sure will bide his time and play football and not rot away as a reserve in someones U23 squad.
Last time I looked Bowler had only played in 6 U23 friendlies. I wonder if he wished he had stayed a bit longer?

yes. to be fair to the club we've been squeezing every penny out of transfers for players when we've sold them. chery went for 4.5m for example and polter went for close to 3m which is a profit on both underperforming players. bowler went for 3m too.

we will only sell if its in our best interests imo, luongo won't go for a penny less than 6.5m i reckon. smithies and freeman would go for around the same figure too imo. no way would we sell anyone cheap in todays market!

Just as well you are not our CEO or chairman!

          Some context:

James Maddison - Age: 21. Position: Number 10. Championship breakthrough season: This Season, debut last year. Total Games: 41. Goals 14. Value £20-25 Million.

          Direct Comparison
Ebere Eze - Age: 19. Position: Number 10. Debut this season. Hugely impressive. Stats for Next Year? We wait and see. However, if he continues his current trajectory of scoring and making goals over a full season (say, scoring 10 goals), he will, likewise, be worth an absolute bucketload.

There are many other conparisons that can be made in many other positions, but I don’t have time! You only have to look st what other players have gone for, to give an idea what some of ours are worth / will be worth.

As ever, market context is key, including comparisons, dynamics and demand. We will have a number of “in-demand players” going into next season.

Has anyone else got this thread appearing twice on the board in different places?

£3m ? Possibly offload Washington or Cousins for that but no-one else.
