We can now see the first glimmers of a much better team, spirit and attitude. Thoroughly enjoyed today’s game. Yes, it was against a not so great squad, but here are the takeaways: (1) We moved the ball better and with ore speed today than at almost any other time; have to stay with this model as it is not only highly entertaining but sports a higher upside; (2) Am more at peace now losing Nedum, Robinson and Smithies — think Lumley a real comer, that Furlong can play CB or RB; if Hall returns to form as other CB, have a got start at rebuilding defense; (3) DESPERATELY NEED a defensive coach; we have been caught out of position constantly this season and last; bring back Clint Hill; fans would love it; (4) If we lose Freeman or Luongo in the offseason, think we have beginnings of a playmaker in Eze, and a spark plug in Chair. (5) Hope we keep Sylla as well as Smith — former may be on the verge of putting his game together, latter a tree trunk to help us see leads through late in games. (6). We all know Ollie is staying put for now; hopefully he has finally learned a new thing or two. Prediction for next year: mid table or slightly better, with better football and brighter prospects for the playoffs in 2019/20.

We are 16 points off 6th place as the table currently stands and we have played most of the season with a toothless forward line. Sylla injured and Washy found out. If we are mid-table by Xmas and the same number of points off 6th Ollie will be gone.

With the recruitment of a decent CF we should be aiming for that 6th place next season, not the one after. We are starting to get a very stable squad and the transition phase has finished, it's time to deliver.

Season was totally wasted, tbh. S hite between October and end of January. The squad is far better than the teams Ollie consistently put out until February.....

A season of progress in terms of the squad changing shape, new mentality emerging and youngsters getting a chance to show what they're about. Need to build on that over the summer and look to push on next season.
