  • MR PALADINI - Will people TRY to understand....

In my opinion.... Mr Paladini did a great job in keeping the club going as Chaiman through some very tricky times.
His ducking and diving, and his commitment to seeing us through to the takeover deserves credit.
    Nice chap, by most accounts.

He's in a different job now, and he's not qualified for that.

But, as much as I love Gerry Francis, a man who dines at the very top table of "QPR Legends".... I wouldn't want him to do that role. Nobody should do it.

So instead of the usual people defending Gianni Paladini, the person.... can they at least get their head around the fact that his role is under serious question, just as Spurs had to face up to when Comolli was finally relieved of that post at White Hart Lane. Harry would never have taken the job if Comolli, or anyone was making his choices for him.

People want a "big name manager"??? You wont get one while we have a fully involved Director of Football.

    Final question:
Why was Gerry Francis so cheesed off when he looked up into the South Africa Road Stand 17 years ago, and saw Rodney Marsh sitting there being lined up for that role???
And what was his reaction to that? And does Gerry love QPR?? But even he still wouldn't put up with it.

If you know your history.... etc.

It hardly ever works, and it certainly isn't working at QPR.
    Far from it.

Hart leaving is just the latest sideshow. It's not the only topic we're allowed to talk about, is it?? Broaden your mind.

I'm talking about the whole picture. Not the latest comedy snapshot.

I can still see it on the TV, Francis fuming with Marsh sitting smugly with a QPR scarf round him and that is the exact moment QPR starting sliding.

Exactly. A sign of things to come.
          An early warning for everyone.

But, as usual, it's taken as "yet another" dig at Gianni.

It's not personal. I love Rodney Marsh... but his presence that night was destructive too.
And the slide started that very night.

yes great for what he has done in the past...

shouldnt be a D of F.... if he wants to stay he should be given another title and position within the club...

and then maybe a decent manager will come into manage without the interference...

                Coppel or Curbs for me...

                  Fez,

Its all perception and the internet is a very powerful tool for getting your message across, with many it sticks because they believe what they read.

Gerry Francis, believed the hierachy were trying to get rid of him.

Pete - it doesn't work in this country...apparently.

If Gp is buying his sort of players and then telling the manager to manage/coach - why not just make GP the manager/coach..

It didn;t work at Spurs, now they got rid of thier "director" Spurs appear to be doing well under rednapp.

Why can't a manager come in and request the players he wants and go to GP to negotiate the deals. If GP feels they cannot afford then fine, but it makes you wonder whether or not GP is bringing in his players and getting a backhander - which he might not get if a manager requested his sort of player.Obviously i have no idea and probably being extremely naive - but if we look at the Folan situation - it does seem that GP had a hard on for him to get that player - who is not that goodand appears not on any managers hit list...or am i just missing something here....because 3 years into the plan -what are Fb BE and the mittals getting out of this.Bad press, average results and falling gates....I was told these were all good business men !!

I think Gianni would have strengthened his position if he'd brought in decent players. He's singularly failed in that task far worse than any of our sacked managers have failed in theirs. He's brought in overpaid players on ridiculously long contracts that mean the player cannot be sold on. Plus the Gino ferrango which, in any other walk of life, probably would have been a resignation/disciplinary matter.

Incidentally, Reading have the DoF position and it works there very well. The DoF appoints the manager and looks after the Academy/Centre of Excellence. Hammond has no say on transfers in or out, that responsibility and budget is solely that of the Club Manager and the Club Secretary negotiates with the agents once the manager has identified the player. As it should be.

Exactly. And if Gianni isn't doing his job properly then he should go.

                            Bring back Gerry!

We need a Rangers man at the helm. Only a messiah will unite the fanbase.
