Going back to Scotland (can't remember which team) as the A-League season finishes in March and he needed to be playing to get a spot on the World Cup team. Also wanted his manager sacked at the Brisbane Roar and was told it wouldn't happen. Is still a very very competent defender and leader - he will be alongside Lucas Neill come the World Cup.

Still captain of oz so is still of a good standard..Also Australia are a good side and did well against eire and holland recently.Not to sure why clubs dont pick up the good talent over here as they dont have transfer fees so it should suit QPR as they never seem to pay one......

The Aussies play Kuwait tonight in Kuwait with a mostly A-League team (just a few from Russia etc). Just for interest Robbie Fowler has played great this season for a poor team in Far North Queensland, scored some cracking goals and has really worked hard to help his team - in a place where it is ****** hot and he was expected to come and enjoy a holiday. Absolute quality.
