QPR’s “Backing Off” Defense

For the last two seasons it’s fair to say that our defense has been less than sterling. What’s evident to anyone watching is we have defenders who constantly back up and back off the other team’s attackers. When was the last time we saw a defender manhandle another team’s forward off the ball in or near the box? That’s why we’ve heard the TV commentators say dozen of times this year things like “that was far too easy” or “poor marking”? Isn’t that coaching? If so can the fans be heard at least once in demanding we retool our coaching staff to in part to change a defensive scheme that conspires against our chances to win?
