  • Short of injury...

Would now resolve no more starts this season to:

Conor Washington — the jury’s in; he’s guilty of insuffient skill
Cousins — same jury; same verdict
Wszolek — not the same player anymore; hesitant on offense; late game sub
3-5-2 — hopefully “Ollie’s Folly’ is finally over

Makes u laugh when Ollie talks about how it’s a risk to play our young players, when Conor doesn’t score, Cousins and Wszolek don’t produce. The biggest risk we have is Ollie managing the team.

Can't knock Pawel in my opinion. Guy always gives 100%, and was in great form before Ollie started playing him out of position.

Could say similar to a lesser extent about Cousins. Has shown glimpses of why we bought him, on the rare occasion he's got to play in central midfield. You can't judge him at all on how he's played when used as a wing back, because it really isn't his position.

Agree on the other 2 points though. Conor has had more than enough chances. Looked good against Burton, but let's face they're a League 1 outfit. Other than that I'm struggling to remember a game where he has looked anything like good enough.

Cousins should be given a run in the side now in place of scowen who has been poor for a fair period of time and then a fair judgement can be made on him.

        Not fair to Pav.

Played on the wing or right side of a front three, he'd find form with the effort he puts in.

And Sylla would get goals from his crosses.

We shouldn't give up on Pav or Cousins yet imo

Absolutely. Especially with Pav. Just need to play him in a natural position. Washington is clearly not cut out for this level though, I think everyone but Ollie is aware of that

Agree with others, unfair for Wszolek and Cousins, hopefully they get some games in their more natural positions before the season is out! Washington sadly for me has run out of chances and would just be taking minutes the youngsters should have at this point!

pawel doesn't do it for me , drifts in and out of games , passes backwards when he should be looking to beat his man and he always looks creamed

This. I loved Pawel when he first joined the team. Understand the playing out of position comments, but I can't remember the last time we saw Pawel drive for the goal versus stopping, backpassing, and doing everything but. Am I wrong here?

And as for Cousins, cannot remember one game where he showed up big time. Not one.

Tanpa. How many games on the spin has Cousins played as a central midfielder?? More than a coincidence that 2 of the players you mentioned originally both struggled at RWB in a flawed and ridiculous system that Holloway persisted with.
