  • Ainsworth in the summer?

Have heard rumours that during the summer Steve McLaren will be investing into the club with a consortium and has listed ainsworth as a potential replacement for Holloway in the summer.
Personally id love to see ainsworth back here, has a couple of seasons of experience , albeit lower league, but we all have to start somewhere. Hes been quite shrewd with his signings and his Wycombe team play attacking exciting football which is something we've not seen for a number of seasons now.
Do you think he could step up ?

Could be something in it I suppose as I think McLaren was at the Wolves game a couple of weeks ago and didnt Ainsworth knock back Barnsley the other day?

      Please be true.

Would love this to happen and to finally see the back of bungle.
Would be fantastic to finally have a football man as chairman.

What style of football does he play? In my mind I can't see him being manager playing football on the deck.

I don't think any of the above will happen though.

I cannot see McClaren having either the brains or contacts to take over a multi million pound operation

McLaren part of a consortium? Can’t see anyone getting enough reddies together for that

I don't believe a word of it , but really do believe McLaren would make a better dof than what we've got

Think you're all slightly confused when I say consortium, I don't mean McLaren buying the club out, he would invest alongside the current regime in place . And no of course McLaren has no money, has only been coaching for numerous years at top clubs, has managed middlesbrough, twente, england ( pay out for sacking) , derby (two spells) Nottingham forest and Newcastle. I suppose they paid him in buttons

Quite easy to get confused as you did write that he may be investing in to the club with a consortium so not sure what other way you wanted us to read that as?

How long before it's Gaz Out or Wally Out? 3 or 4 games?

                        Anyway, can't see this happening.

You reckon he'd get 3 or 4 games Ginge - I'm guessing it would be at the first sight of a decision that didn't fit with the expert panel on here. I'm struggling to work out what he would get called though - Painsworth just isn't insulting enough

Derry was at the game Saturday, he's obviously being lined up as Ollies replacement so it can't be Ainsworth
