  • deal for sam winnal collapses

QPR have seen a planned move for Sheffield Wednesday’s Sam Winnall seemingly crumble ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.

The R’s are keen to sign a striker and at one stage it seemed that Winnall, 26, was on his way to Loftus Road.

However, a deal could not be struck and, as the deadline approached, Rangers were looking less likely to add a striker to their squad.

not sure what they paid for him but they would at least want their money back.

he has fallen out of favour with the wednesday manager after being involved in a fight with another player on the training ground.

looks like we were hoping to pick him up cheap because of that but, we failed.

shame, he would have been a great signing.

This is what happens when you have little money to spend and seemingly wait until the window is closing before making bids for players.

I remember years ago Peter Crouch expressed his wish that he may finish his career at Loftus Road. Maybe he forgets that statement of his, or, maybe things have changed. Read somewhere that Crouch was an R's fan when he was a boy. Will be a great addition to our current squad, even if it is for a season or two.

Spot on Hitman. He's scored at a rate of virtually a goal every other game throughout his career. We have'nt had that luxury since Austin and Remy. Will we ever learn?
