        • Think that’s really good and confident response from club. I think they know it’s in the bag

the lack of activity on the twitter handle tells me everything I need to know. Usually there crowing about every victory but on this there is near on radio silence. There now tweeting If this goes ahead which is sea change from previous bolshey language
That is a good point, I'm sure i remember seeing any further appeal has to be a point of law is it???

            • Dave, they have to have ground(s) based on the decision having been wrong in law. I have recently read the full judgment in the Court of Appeal and I cannot see where they will focus their grounds. I say that with the caveat that I am no specialist in respect of the specific regulations under scrutiny here - but by my reading their Lordships' have given an opinion on their interpretation of the various aspects and there is little prospect that anyone can say they are wrong (that's the requirement: they may not agree with their interpretation but that doesn't make them wrong)

What I can tell you for a fact is that this has nothing to do with the ECHR - the House of Lords and the Supreme Court (where it heads next) have jurisdiction to (and the Lords already has) deal with human rights issues on this matter without deference to the European Courts. That fact is raised in the judgment of the House of Lords.

The other issue, as some have already touched on, these clowns have lodged "an appeal" - that is not quite correct, they have lodged an application to appeal and they will need permission to do so. The Council and QPR have 14 days to object to the request and the Club confirms that is already in process. That will be a case of examining the reasons the Appellant says it should have recourse to the Supreme Court and answering those reasons with "our" own as to why they should not.

It is not an expensive process and shouldn't take long for a decision to be reached, hopefully in our favour. If however they have found something of merit that they can argue, it will then become expensive and long winded again. Hopefully this really is a final stab in the dark.

to have to accept the decision.

No worries mate - I really hope this is their final hooray as they have funds left from their crowd funding routine. However, in this game some people will find the money just to have their days in court and these lot are reallu getting value for money
