I know we're meant to be moving forward but wouldn't it be nice to see a couple of players (who would be good additions to the squad - maybe not Connolly) who actually care about the club? Mackie has done a great job for Reading and did a great job for us, even when played out of position. I personally would like to see that anyway. Bit of passion.

I think he's done reasonably well when played CB. RB he is awful. Rather Ned than Caulker anyway

Still don't see how some wouldn't have Barton. He cares about the club and puts a massive shift in every game. For me him and green while we are in the championship are two players that should play every game.

Personally I think this ' transitional' period could happen behind the scenes in the youth setup and we could still focus on the first team doing its job.

You can't just throw youth at a 46 game season and expect results. We would get relegated, keep the best of the spine of the team.. Add players with a couple of years experience already and have the youth as the back ups and the fillers..

Barton should never have been allowed to return to the club after going to Marseille. Appreciate the effort he's put in the last half of the season but Barton should never have been allowed to come back.

Sandro got to go with wages and spent the whole season trying to get fit and just can't do it so no way he will be able to do a season in the championship.

Agree you can't expect youth to do the job though
