  • Squad is so unbalanced!!

Only 2 out and out strikers. About 7 number 10s. 3 central midfielders.

So light in key areas. Totally found out now.

Get this season out of the way and start planning for the Championship.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

In Swansea and Southampton we have seen at the Bush two sides doing really well in the league who are bang average sides and nothing out of the ordinary but what they have which we have not had all this season so far is organisation and pace

I thought yesterday we looked a more organised team and hunted more in packs like there was a plan but we still never had the pace to turn them around

If we had pace in out side I think we would be comfortably mid table but we don't and its too late now to get it in

Our squads been a shambles for years now. Tony's priority should have been building a steady core squad but we've needed a complete rehaul for pretty much the last 5 years. There's been too many old players with cheap transfer fees as a quick fix and flavour of the month young players with no real thought into how we want to play and what we need.

We try as a team and work hard but we seem like strangers when in possesion

The blame for the squads lies with Warnock, Hughes and Redknapp. You really think Tony built the squads and not his managers?

Very harsh on warnock . The heart and soul had been ripped out of the club and that started long after warnock. Least he knew how to win away and they had a bit of passion about them

Tony tried to force Park into Hughes' starting 11. He has favoured old players & higher wages over higher transfer fees on players that represent better value. The summer we went up with Southampton they were amongst the top spenders in Europe, but they spent wisely.

I dont blame TF and the managers are mainly responsible for buying the players we have, but TF has shown he & the board cannot choose a manager. They completely missed the mark. Arry was a media hype job and never the man we needed, but TF must have naively thought he was someone who knew English football and was a pair of safe hands. It was a lazy choice, and now we're going for the another lazy choice in Timmy.

I trust you have never moaned about Luke Young, Joey Barton, Anton Ferdinand, Armand Traore, or SWP? All good signings were they? Three of them are in the current squad.

Yeah I have mate . He made some poor signings but the squad wasn't unbalanced under his tenur and it was organised , worked hard and scored its fair share of goals . We wernt unfit or lethargic like we are now . If warnock had been given the budget and time that those other two ##### had im totally confident we wouldn't be in this position now

Neil was the best of the three, and yes, if he'd had the money earlier we'd have done better, but he bought some rubbish it has to be said.

Most of Warnock's signings were deadline day panic buys as Tango and Cash would not give him any money to spend while they were selling up. Bit harsh to even mention Warnock's name along with Hughes and Harry IMO

Your missing the point. The OP said Tony should have built a steady core squad. I put the blame on the shoulders of the managers who built those squads, and Warnock was one of them. Every one of those three managers bought poorly, Hughes by far the worst of the lot.
