For those of you that remember Paul Murray appointed today as the new Hartlepool United Manager, served us well at QPR during the mid nineties having achieved under 21England caps before joining QPR from Carlisle. Wishing you great success Paul

Loved PM, great player for us at the time
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

He's only just left Oldham to go to Hartlepool ain't he ?

When he was @ Oldham the first time 2001/04 I used to use the JJB gym near their ground ....... Neither Murray or Ian Dowie ever let on to me even though I was squeezed into my Rangers shorts !
Must have been intimidated by my bench pressing 20kgs !
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

I used to work with matt brazier's dad. He said the players at time were all top top lads. Lovely supporting families. I think a few of them were cab drivers.

Overriding memory of him was that he locked his keys in his motor at the end of year bash for sponsoring players back in the day.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
