Christ almighty. That really is awful news. Gutted for him, one of the most talented players I've seen pull on the hoops.
Surely thats him done though? 3 ACLs in as many seasons. Not many players come back from 2.

Really sad news but it was only a matter of time with Ale. Hopefully he can still be involved with QPR one way or another.

Gutted for the lad. The only positive is it happened now with the transfer window still open and not mid season when we couldnt replace him

You do have two bundles in each knee ACL(Anterior Cruciate Ligment) and the PCL(Posterior Cruciate Ligament) I would say that its the ACL allmost 100% because it streches when you get at rotation of your lower leg, like if your foot gets stuck in the grass. PCL can be damaged in like car accidents while getting the dashboard smashed against your lower leg. That or a late chalange from Diakite...

He must be absolutely gutted, I doubt he will ever play at this level again

Hope he copes with the bad news
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Extremely sad news, gutted for him as you could never knock him for effort, with a footballng brain
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Sad for Ale as he is a nice bloke. Always had time for the kids and fans.

Can you honestly see TF doing that ?

As said previous, not half the player since his first one but still twice the player we've had in hoops over the past few seasons

Let's look forwards and the inevitable debate of his retirement/contract termination:

In my opinion: get him through his coaching badges as soon as possible and keep him with the club. He clearly enjoys it here. He's got a natural ability to read the game, what makes him stand out on the pitch. He's got knowledge of techniques and will be a coach/trainer one day so let's support him through it.

Done it twice in pointless game League and FA Cup
