  • He was the best of a terrible side at Palace. He's only had a handful of appearances - you can't expect him to return and hit form straight away, especially in a team as shite as ours.

As usual it's too little too late, we wait until we're all but relegated and then expect Adel to come into an awful team and win us matches. It doesn't work like that.

      • And still our best player on Saturday, and the only one who looked like he'd seen a football at times.

Can't think of a more damning indictment of our performance.

Hope he gets a couple of games to improve sharpness.

        • Our best player Saturday. Only one who didn't look scared of the ball. Can't expect him to perform for 90 mins after being mostly ignored all season and he's bound to lack sharpness or be match-ready. Think it'd be best to use him as a sub for a few games and hope he can get fit for last half dozen games. I'd certainly use him more than that bag-of-cement Krancar.

          • Taarabt doesn't have anyone who runs off the last defender so therefore doesn't have an option of a defence splitting through ball

Was still our best player as usual on Sat though

            • Just wow

He was no better and no worse then anyone else and certainly not head and shoulders above anyone like some are suggesting. What exactly did he do to make him our best player sat???

He wasn't head and shoulders above, but looked fairly comfortable to have the ball at his feet. He wasn't 'good' by any stretch, but he was our best player on the day.

This. Looked our only creative spark - as he has done in every game he has played this season.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Being comfortable on the ball don't make you the best player on the pitch. What did he do in 90mins for people to suggest he was best player???

He was average as were the other 10 of his team mates lets not starting building him up as having a good game when he never

                        • Tbf that paper gave Furlong a higher score than taraabt and gave Austin a higher score than Phillips and the same score as Palaces 2nd best performers. Furlong was torn to shreds in 1st half and hauled off at HT and Austin did sod all in his lone striker role, he seems to struggle to win headers and hold the ball up. That says it all about their scoring system.

                            • So the right back who had a mare and got dragged got a higher rating than the joint top chances creator of the weekend. And the guy who scored a wonder goal and threatened with crosses got a lower rating than the guy who did sod all up front by himself. Right ho
