It has been an interesting period across London at West Ham in the last week. They have been taken over and it was revealed they have debts of £110 million.

The biggest story to come out of there has to be the fact the new owners want to move the club into the Olympic Stadium after 2010 and possibly even change their name to West Ham Olympic – which would be a bold move and I think even the suggestion of his has angered the fans.

Surely the priority for the new owners is to ensure that West Ham avoid relegation from the Premier League this season and I am sure the fact the club now don’t have to sell any of their best players, including Mathew Upson, Scott Parker and Carlton Cole, is going to aid their battle.

I have to agree with this article written by Premier League expert Andy Gray for Betfair Football that West Ham should be safe for this season and in all likelihood QPR will be playing Portsmouth (if they survive as a club), Burnley and Wolves next season.
