Queens Park Rangers dazzled under the bright lights of Loftus Road tonight with a comprehensive victory over a Reading team lacking any confidence whatsoever. Rangers’ fluidity in possession and superior cutting edge dismantled an already unbalanced Reading with ease. It is obvious why Reading are languishing in the bottom half of the league, a side lacking pace, flair and direction...exactly all the components Jim Magilton has instilled into Rangers who are playing their best football in recent memory.
The first goal came directly after the controversial sending off of Ben Watson, when Akos Buzsaky curled in a pin point free kick that sent the fans into raptures. The second goal which arguably could be considered team goal of the season saw Jay Simpson finish from an acute angle after a defence splitting cross delivered by Wayne Routledge. Shortly into the second half Reading were reduced to ten men when Ivar Ingimarsson tripped Jay Simpson somewhat cynically. Rowan Vine scored a neat finish inside the area after being allowed plenty of time and space in the Reading box. Patrick Agyemang confidently rounded Adam Federici to make it four. Reading scored a consolation when a deflected interception luckily landed into Brian Howard’s path and he made no mistake.
It is worth noting that Adel Taraabt has transformed into a more complete player in the last few weeks or so. He is a constant menace to the opposition and even releases at the right time. His skill on the ball is phenomenal and it really is a pleasure to see him play for the hoops. Also Damion Stewart was a man mountain tonight and gave a real captains performance, him and Gorkss are almost unplayable for large parts of games right now and it is so important to have that foundation in our team.

Alejandro Faurlin (8) = Dictated the tempo of the game, has a wide range of passing in his locker.
Akos Buzsaky (8) = Alongside Faurlin, Routledge and Taraabt is a contender for mom, great goal and intricate forward play, back to his best.
Jay Simpson (8) = Worked hard and deserved his goal, a real poacher in front of goal.

Subs:
Rowan Vine (7) = Took his goal well and linked up the play nicely, although still isn’t as sharp as he was before his injury. Hopefully the goal tonight will give him the confidence to improve.
Patrick Agyemang (7) = Missed a sitter straight away but more than made up for it with his next one on one, great finish.
Gavin Mahon (7) = Brought on to steady the side late on, did his job as always.
