Last season this was a top flight fixture, but a quick scan of the squads and the same could be said now of the expected line ups. There is still quality running through both sides, but applying that to the Championship is always one of the main challenges for recently relegated teams.

In fact both have started the Championship in remarkably similar form, were it not for the draw against Blackburn midweek then both sides would have been comfortably in the playoff positions. It often takes teams time to find their feet, especially when there have been changes over the summer.

Looking at the table of course it would be nicer to look down on all other teams, but there’s nothing to yet be alarmed about and certainly no reason that both can’t be challenging come the end of the season.

In head to heads Hull have the edge overall, and the best of the recent meetings as well, remaining unbeaten in the last 5 matches between the two sides. That edge, and their marginally better form, results in Hull being favourites for the match. QPR have been the favourite in most of their matches this season, so how they fare as the underdog, and whether they can grind out a result could be telling.

QPR have had few issues scoring this season, so expect there to be more goals to come at the KC. Hope says only for QPR, unfortunately logic and the season so far (which has yielded just one clean sheet from seven league matches) would suggest there could be goals at both ends. So once again the over/under markets are going to be keenly traded pre-match and in-play.

Once again, it’s 0% commission on all QPR matches this season, and if you haven’t claimed your sign up bonus yet there’s £10 risk free bet for all new customers depositing £20 or more.
