need advice

its dan swanleyhoops son im a gamer and i have have a 360 elite
i have had it for 18 months and in that time i have had it repaired once by xbox
the diagnosis was the motherboard was ****ed and it wasnt reading the discs
and about a week ago i have the same problem and my warrantly has expired

if anyone can help me and give me advice please let me know

Just seen this. Assume you've resolved the probelem by now (as posted a month ago), but if not, was the issue a red ring of death problem (As it's known), in which case Microsoft extended the warranties to 3 years for related issues... worth checking as you would still be covered if so.
