Diakite just edges it for me. But all were top notch.

        My MOM

A few candidates tonight but for me Samba Diakite was absolutely superb. Pulled the strings in midfield and hardly put a foot wrong.
On a side note, how much has Joey Barton improved?? Quality, and it was nice to hear the One Joey Barton chants. If only that volley had gone in...

I agree, he played superb today! Bombs forward, has power, skill and is a great team player.

JOEY BARTON - inspired captain's performance. Back to his best. Never stopped running and urging on his team. Took his goal brilliantly, kept the engine room ticking along and big improvement in his passing. 9/10.

I think most fans on here will agree he was man of the match, some of his touches past players made the swansea team appear slow-motion, was nail-biting towards the end though with him and taiwo on yellows, I would have even stuck SWP at leftback to save the beast getting a second yellow

My vote went to Mackie, but could have been Diakite or Taiwo.

Barton edged it over Diakite for me. Diakite was great but still slightly erratic. Barton was virtually flawless tonight, gave a 9/10 performance IMO.

For once a few candidates!! Barton I think was MotM, pure class. Diakite second choice. Mackie gets bonus points for effort and Ferdinand gave a good solid performance again so gets an honourable mention for consistency!

Diakite for me, what an amazing player! Taarabt didn't look happy with himself when he came off, but I think he played superb as a team player today, his moment to shine this season will come but today he was a team player.
